Maine Home Visiting Programs help new parents and parents-to-be get their children off to a healthy start. Trained visitors come to the homes of mothers, fathers and other caregivers to share new and helpful ways to parent.  Home visitors also connect parents to the health and social supports they need to be happy, healthy families in Maine.

The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention administers the Healthy Families, Parents as Teachers, and Parents Are Teachers, Too programs by providing grants to community agencies which maintain sites within each of Maine’s counties. These sites are also funded through a variety of other public and private sources.  This website provides information to parents, professionals and interested citizens about these programs, including where they are located, what they offer and how the programs are succeeding. You will also find parenting tips, timely facts and figures, and links to many parent resources. Please contact us at  info@mainefamilies.com with questions.
